“This is the first time in history that a meteorite has been filmed in the air after its light goes out,” says geologist Hans Amundsen.

Anders Helstrup is extremely lucky. The Norwegian man not only narrowly missed being hit by a meteorite but happened to catch it on film, while skydiving!

The video is the full story but the rock appears just past the 2:00 mark if you are impatient.

Amundsen confirms the rarity of this event is “…much less likely than winning the lottery three times in a row.”
